Jason Goldstein

Grammy winning and nominated Mix Engineer

“Mixing the Lowrider record was a blast. The tracks that I got from Gabs (Gabriel Agostino) and the crew at Chapel Lane were first rate. I could tell right away that a lot of time and effort went into getting the best and, more importantly, the most “appropriate” sounds for each record. I could not have asked for better source material to mix from.”

Benn Cox

(Lead Vocalist) At Fates Mercy

To whom it may concern, Working with Gabriel Agostino was one of the most fulfilling and enjoyable experiences that At Fates Mercy has had the pleasure of undertaking in its short career.

His passion and dedication to pulling the best out of the band, as both musicians, clients and friends; made having him on board during the recording of our debut EP memorable.

Whether looking for massive and deafening drums, brutal yet clean guitars or melodic cleans mixed with harsh screaming vocals, Gabes had no problem stepping into the realm of post melodic hardcore and switching between its many elements.

At Fates Mercy consider Gabes to be a fantastic choice of engineer for any band looking to work with a specialized, yet passionate professional, and not only do we hold him in the highest regard in his choice of career, we also consider him a great friend.

Sincerely, Benn Cox (Lead Vocalist)

We consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with Gabriel Agostino over two projects now. The first album "Move Me" was voted SA blues album of the year, and we're even happier with the second, which is due to be released in March.

The only thing that matches the easy professional manner with which Gabriel goes about his business, is his amazing attention to detail.

These combined with his obvious talent as both an engineer and producer create an atmosphere both energised and relaxed making creative performance the natural byproduct.

We've been blown away with the results every time we've been in the studio with Gabs, and would have no hesitation in highly recommending his services to other artists.

Pimpin' Horus

Gabs' involvement was a major influence on the success of our latest project. From the beginning, Gabs was friendly and approachable; as we traded stories, we were impressed with his genuine passion for the variety of local and international endeavours with which he was involved.

Gabs brought a remarkable level of professionalism and versatility to his work: he managed to keep us on track without ever feeling rushed, and indulged our quirky ideas even where this meant working harder under time pressure. He has a great ear for the mix, and was as hands-on or hands-off with the decision-making process as we needed him to be.

When presented with challenges, Gabs was 100% dependable - we put our faith in him to help us meet tough deadlines, and he worked tirelessly to deliver an outstanding result without ever asking us to compromise.
